Fly to Cusco and acclimatize before this afternoon's tour of the

Board the Vistadome train to Machu Picchu, the "Lost City of the
Incas," where a late morning arrival gives you time to begin your

DAY 8 - 14: Quito, ECUADOR / The Galápagos
Islands, ECUADOR
Fly to the Galápagos and board 'Eclipse.' Weather, water and wildlife
conditions affect actual day-by-day itineraries, but visits are planned
for the main islands and their landmarks. 'Eclipse' carries pangas,
rubber boats that carry you to island beaches where you wander among
the Galápagos' unique species. Watch sea lion sunbathing, dodge Sally
Lightfoot crab scuttling past on the beach and catch the impassive eye
of a century-old tortoise. As you sail between islands, there is time
to relax, reflect and confer with your naturalist guide about the

DAY 15: The Galápagos Islands / Quito,
